NYCRUNS MERCH DESIGNS
For my Design Team class at NYCCT, my group was chosen for the merchandise designs that were sold at the NYCRUNS April, 2026 Expo. Here's how our design developed:

Here's the sketch that "started it all."
My team and I sketched a few ideas we each had individually and presented them to our client together after briefing. After feedback, we decided to go with my sketch, which is presented to the left here. (yay!!)

The theme for this marathon was "Brooklyn Experience". Our client mentioned how they want a trendy, new, and unique design for their Expo, which would be held prior to the race.
I decided to sketch out a carabiner because it's something I see amongst a lot of young adults now. Whether it's on bags or your jeans belt hoop.
Above, I have digital versions of the sketch I made, which we put together and illustrated separately.

Here's the final designs! To showcase the versatility of this design, we have developed multiple color variants. This approach allows the client to envision how the design can be adapted to different settings and preferences, providing them with a clearer perspective on its potential applications. We look forward to hearing their thoughts!

NYCRUNS EXPO
From the beginning, our goal was to create a design that felt distinct and memorable. Something that captured Brooklyn's energy while remaining connected to the spirit of the race. We explored different visual directions and focused on building a concept that balanced both design and community.
A huge thank you to my teammates Mark James Laurel and Sunny Naseem for the dedication, creativity, and collaboration throughout the entire process. This project really came together through our shared effort. yay us!! (Also congrats to Drucillia Ralph for the design on the front of the shirt!)
